The University Tutoring Center (UTC) empowers students through collaboration and course-specific learning outside the classroom to improve their academic performance, build community, and facilitate paths to commencement.
Goals:
- Provide academic support through tutoring, peer mentoring, and educational workshops
- Increase student's understanding of course material and help them build skills for metacognition
- Increase student GPA's
- Support online students with video tutorials and virtual appointments
- Empower students to academic success by helping them build college-level learning, time-management, note-taking, study, and test-taking skills
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for learning
